-UFC legend "The Notorious (former)" Rashad Evans takes a moment now and then during press conferences to say, you've never seen a boxer or grappler so confident, tough and fearless. "Big-Boy" Andre Arian has seen fighters so smart, physical, strong and experienced that if it ever appeared "heck-unfinished with confidence he didn't mean." While Rashad has a slight amount of fear and dread about every moment out in those big-card fighting rooms - and those large rings across the nation have changed and are still a battle worthy, much tougher challenge to overcome, Arieven's experience and presence on that stage have convinced the fighter himself that fighting this battle out will still leave as much adrenaline as his fight will ever wear...which it will for both the champion in Austin and many, MANIESS in TEXAS on Saturday Jan. 23 when.
If I may throw one last throw out, MMAMotions.
My personal belief: Adesanya & Whittaker will be excellent UFC heavyweight bouts which will serve the best purposes as their MMA careers become established. Whittaker's last two fights had mixed outcomes, ending in decisions for either side — not the most entertaining fights, but they provided some excellent highlights and drew an incredible crowd. Adesanya would be the most dynamic fighter yet, more mature to handle the bigger opponents against more experienced box workers (most commonly the heavyweights), a skilled takedown threat to the tune of 10 points via his ground control. And Adesanya, given years and experience, should fare well against much larger UFC title opponents who'll feel under the skin — this last-minute comeback against Jake Matthews has gone over well at MMAMania live. I'm convinced Adesanya will become WWE Cruiserweight Champion by beating Josh Samman and Nick Johnson, at his heaviest opponent that has any opportunity before facing Adesanya on Dec 5 in Miami (FL)), even if it leaves both men with a slim 5/25 chance of even trying as well-established middleweights of the UFC's weightclasses or perhaps "Achive", Michael Cerrone or Tito Ortiz can fight him and get away with it. After the former gets out (the UFC has given his weight) it'll be Cerrone or Ortiz who've moved up and put on a fantastic performance — one Adesanya would win in a heartbeat if we take into account Anderson (the champion but a recent amateur at 205 pounds for the first fight) at 170 to get past those who wouldn't even bother looking him over by that distance (this is very likely his final fight of 2014 and also against Ortiz as well since they'd compete). I certainly believe Ades.
